The global leader in webcam content has installed a static bird’s eye view 3D web camera and will deploy two extra mobile 3D cameras which will travel through the river of revellers capturing the kisses, the confetti and conviviality of Times Square.

After the event and the sweepers are in force, viewers will be able to watch archived time-lapse highlights in 3D wearing a pair of red/cyan anaglyph glasses or by connecting their computers to a 3D TV for full colour 3D viewing.

EarthCam will also be webcasting New Year celebrations from other worldwide cities without the 3D treatment. Most recently, EarthCam installed 5 webcams on the torch of the Statue of Liberty, providing unprecedented views of Lady Liberty and the surrounding New York Harbor.
