3D Systems have revealed a series of high end 3D printers that can produce models in virtually any colour combination
The company, who owns the Cubify and zPrinter brands, used the Inside 3D Printing Expo in New York this week to showcase the ProJet x60 range which uses a premium composite called VisiJet PXL to build up objects layer by layer.
The top of the range model is the ProJet 860Pro which features a large build area of 20 x 15 x 9 inches with the entry monochrome ProJet® 160 Personal 3D Printer offering a space of 9.3 x 7.3 x 5 inches.
Materials and colour choices have long been restrictions in 3D printing but colour choice appears to longer be an issuegetting resolved. The next goal is to make full colour 3D printers more affordable.
“These exciting, next generation color printers embody 3D Systems’ commitment to democratize access to powerful and affordable 3D printing solutions for professionals, educators and consumers, alike,” said Michele Marchesan, Vice President and General Manager, Personal and Professional Printers for 3D Systems. “The new ProJet x60 series builds on our innovation heritage, leverages our expanded line of 3D content-to-print solutions and enables users to create more, faster.”
