Following a similar trial last year, the Walkabout Pub in London will broadcast the Heineken Cup and Champions League Finals on a 65” autostereoscopic screen on May 19th.

Glasses free 3D display company Tridelity has joined forces with Ram Active Media to offer pub-goers full 3D coverage of the Heineken Cup Final of Leinster Vs Ulster (kick off at 17.00) followed by the Champions League Final of Chelsea Vs Bayern Munich (kick off at 19.45) through a real time conversion of Sky’s side-by-side two image feed into a multi-view format displayable on Tridelity’s five view parallax barrier screen.

Apparently, there will be a great improvement in picture quality since the first trial of its type almost a year ago when the UEFA Champions League Final was screened in the same pub using iPONT technology. Since then, the Tridelity screen has different settings allowing ‘strong 3D’ as the top setting.

The event takes place on May 19th and entry to the Walkabout pub in Covent Garden (11 Henrietta Srteet, London) is £3.
